In Loving Memory of Andrew Christopher Valdez (“Bugsy”)
Andrew Christopher Valdez, was born on August 1, 1977, and passed away on April 30, 2026, in Salt Lake City.
Andrew was a devoted son, a caring brother, a loving uncle, friend and a proud father to his three boys—Andrew, Christopher, and Jeffrey—and 3 step kids Marcelino, Alexia, and Francheska. who were the center of his world. He was also a cherished grandfather to two grandsons and one granddaughter, who brought him great joy.
He had a deep passion for sports, especially his unwavering loyalty to the Denver Broncos. Whether cheering on his team or talking sports, Andrew’s enthusiasm was unmistakable. He also loved boxing and followed many different sports, always bringing energy and excitement to every conversation.
Andrew was known as a good friend to those he crossed paths with. His presence, conversations, and connections with others left a lasting impression on many.
He was preceded in death by his uncles, grandparents Joe and Mary Valdez, and cousins.
He is survived by his mother, Alberta Trujillo; his siblings Dennis (Frances) Vigil, Johnny (Justina) Vigil, Esperanza Valdez Montes (Marcelino), Carlos (Christine) Trujillo, and Ashley; his children Andrew, Christopher, and Jeffrey; and many nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.
Andrew will be remembered for his dedication, his love for his family, and the lasting impact he had on those who knew him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
