Betty Irene Bristow

Betty Irene Bristow, age 92 passed away August 14, 2026 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

She was born November 4, 1933, to Roy C. and Alice (Webb) Nelson in Dodge City, Kansas. She married Bob Kirmer on Februrary18, 1954 and later married Everett Bristow on April 4, 1981.

She grew up in Dodge City, Kansas and graduated from Dodge City High School. She worked for Blue Cross & Blue Shield in Hutchison, Kansas and Salt Lake City, Utah, retiring after 27 years.

She enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren at many family get togethers.

She was active in her church and involved in many charities.

She also loved to decorate her home and was amazing at it.

Survivors include: Doug Kirmer, Midvale, Utah, Robert (Deb) Kirmer Kingman, Kansas, Craig (Stephanie) Kirmer, South Jordan, Utah, and Janet (Rick) Nelson, Blackwell, Texas.

Grandchildren: Brooke Kirmer, Nichole (Shane) Pace, Metta (Damian) Sanchez, Josh Nelson, Kaleb Kirmer, and Nicholle (Matt) Watkins

Great Grandchildren: Paige Maxfield, Baden Seigman, Hailey Hostetler, Oliver and Evertt Pace.

Step children: Dennis Bristow, Leonard (Toni) Bristow, Bruce (Dawn) Bristow, Theresa (Tim) Snyder, and Karen Kritzmire.

She is preceded in death by her husband Everett, her parents, son Scott Kirmer, grandson Keith Hostetler, her siblings, Natalie Unzicker, Merlin Nelson, and Joan Dugger, brother-in-law Lloyd Unzicker, and sister-in-law Mary Lou Greer.

A memorial service will be at Southeast Christian Church, 1881 East Vine Street, Murray Utah 84121 Friday August 21, 2026 @ 10:00.
