Cory Michael Hailstone passed away on July 24, 2026, at 31 years old. His final days were surrounded by his family and close friends.

Cory was born on December 28, 1994, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Douglas Mark Hailstone and Melinda Jane Hale.

As a young boy, Cory was a ninja fighting, Batman loving, adventurous risk taker. Cory excelled at many athletic endenevors including, baseball, football, skateboarding, karate, and jujitsu. Cory had many talents and loved to be in the spotlight. His performances included acting, beatboxing, dancing, freestyling, and singing his part in our car concerts.

Cory had many honorable achievements in his short life, such as joining the United States Marine Corps at the age of 17. During his time in the military, he was ranked as an E-4 Corporal and specialized as a flight equipment technician. After he served, he worked as a heavy equipment mechanic and spent a lot of his time working alongside side his big brother, Marcus Hailstone.

Cory loves his momma. He was a great leader and the best teacher. He was the most amazing father, brother, son, and friend.

Cory’s pride and joy was his little sister Emma Grace Hailstone, his daughters Jordanelle Jane Hailstone, Myla Grace Hailstone, his son, Dominic Diesel Hailstone and his eight nieces and nephews.

Cory loved deep and strong. He could make you laugh in your darkest days. He would give you the shirt off his back, even if it was his last belonging. He had the most contagious laugh and the most impressionable personality. He touched the lives of everyone he met. He was the most handsome boy in the world.

Cory is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Peggy Hailstone and Mary Hale, his big sister Kimberly Hailstone and many other loved ones who welcomed him to heaven.

Cory will always be missed and remembered by surviving family members. His grandparents, Darrell Hailstone, Alan Midgely, Richard Hale, and Jane Midgley. His parents, Douglas Mark Hailstone, Melinda Jane Hale and Richard Irvin Hale. His siblings, April Hailstone, Megan Howser (Zach), Marcus Hailstone (Jauna), Emma Hailstone, Leslie Hale, Trey Hale, and William Hale. His Daughters, Jordanelle Jane Hailstone and Myla Grace Hailstone. His son, Dominic Diesel Hailstone. Step son, Romeo. His eight nieces and nephews. As well as his extended and honorary family members.

Services will be held on August 3rd, 2026 at 10:00AM located at Utah Veterans Cemetery and Memorial Park Chapel: 17111 1700 W, Bluffdale, UT 84065. A visitation will be held prior from 9:00AM - 10:00AM. Interment following services.
