James "Jim" Judson Menard
March 9, 1953 – July 10, 2026
James "Jim" Judson Menard, 73, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2026. A man who loved the quiet of the outdoors, the warmth of a busy kitchen, and the company of his large, tight-knit family, Jim leaves behind a rich legacy of hard work, dedication, and quiet generosity.
A Life of Service and Hard Work
Jim was born on March 9, 1953. Raised in Pocatello, Idaho, he attended Hawthorne Junior High and Highland High School. From 1973 to 1975, Jim proudly served his country in the United States Army.
He was a dedicated employee who spent his career ensuring things ran smoothly for his community. He worked for several years with Associated Foods before finding his professional home at the Idaho Transportation Department, where he provided 27 years of loyal service before his well-earned retirement. Beyond his career, Jim believed in giving back and frequently volunteered his time and talents to local charities, always willing to lend a helping hand to those who needed it most.
Passions and the Great Outdoors
If you couldn’t find Jim at home, there was a good chance he was out on the water or under the open sky. He was an avid outdoorsman with a deep love for fishing. Jim was also a talented cook who found immense joy in preparing meals for the people he cared about—a passion that brought family and friends together around the table for decades.
Family Connections
Jim’s journey through life was shared with companions who remained part of his story. He was previously married to Judy Buzzard. In 1976, he married Terri Wellard, with whom he welcomed his two beautiful children, Jeff and Tiffani; they also later divorced. Jim later shared a marriage with Paula Ann, which also ended in divorce. Through every chapter of life, Jim remained deeply proud of the family he built.
Jim is survived by his loving children, their spouses, his grandchildren, a great-grandson, and close loved ones:
His children: Jeffrey James (Stephanie) Menard and Tiffani Menard.
His grandchildren: Sariah Anguiano, Teigen James Menard, Ellie Menard, Taushlyn (Aaron) Mick, and Malaya Peery.
His great-grandson: Sutton James Menard.
