Jean Roskelley
Foulks
August 8, 1943 – May 25, 2026
St George, Utah -Today I died. It wasn't necessarily before my time, but I still have quite a bucket list. I'm 82 years old and have had a mostly fun life.
I've been married to Harvard Foulks for over 50 years. He's the craziest, most annoying, funniest, kindest man I know. When he's not annoying me, he's catering to my every wish and mostly getting the instructions wrong. But Harv has a big heart and keeps everyone laughing. He is 96 years old and our haircutter calls him Surfer Boy.
I live in a senior community that is not for retirement purposes but rather to keep you alive and active. I have a wonderful group of friends who are our chosen family. Never a dull moment and lots of belly laughs. It's all I could have dreamed of for retirement.
I also have a precious bio family. Two brothers Ron (Jean) and Bill (Laurie) Roskelley, grand daughter Lisa Whitney, great grand Whitney Zeller and great greats Ava, Grayson and Kaycen Whitney and my daughter, Angela Leedy and hubby, Mike Treece. Angela and Mike have now moved two minutes from us and have been the perfect caregivers for Harv, me and our critters. Everyone has shown us so much love.
We also have a 12 year old Russian Blue cat named Smokey, and a little white dog named Chevy, who is the naughtiest, most lovable funniest boy imaginable.
Angela and I have operated a home based travel agency for 13 years and it has given us the opportunity to travel together to many places I never imagined seeing. Still too many places to count on the wish list, but my cup is more than half full.
I had a Penco career of 36 years that took me all over the west and Hawaii. It was a very fun job.
What I know about my life is I've made many blunders and have some regrets. There are things I'd change if I could, but the good and the bad have brought me to where I am, and I'm grateful for that because I like it here.
I want to shout to the heavens how much I love my daughter, Angela. This cancer battle has found her at my side or doing my bidding constantly since diagnosis over a year ago. She and I cry together over our terrible loss of each other and then keep on keeping on. She's an angel and my forever best friend. I pray her life will be full of all the Sun River activities and many new friends. I love her so much. She is my angel and I could not have been better blessed.

I cannot say enough kind words for the IHC Cancer Center in St. George. The kindness and compassion they express is extraordinary. My oncology team of Dr. Miller and her assistant Lauren, make my heart sing at how they always go the extra mile and do it with love, kindness and so much support. No words for how much I love them.
I've been so blessed by the people and critters who have populated my life from beginning to end.Ok. Done now. Going to catch up with you on the flip side.
