Joyce Lorraine Smith, age 87, Died on September 30, 2026. She was born on January 3, 1939 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Harold and Lorraine Smith. She married Norman Dean Kay on September 6, 1957.

As a widow early in her life, she raised four children, became a Nurse, and ran her own hospice company. She loved square dancing, nature, traveling, and camping. Prior to being a widow she was active in the "La Leche league" helping mothers with breast feeding.

She is survived by children Sherry (George) Grangia, Janice Kelly, Doug (Cyndi) Kay, and Debbie (Eldon) Copier, 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and her sister Lorrie Ryther Hall.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Kay, parents Harold and Lorraine Smith, and her brother Harold Smith.

A Celebration of Life will be held on October 17th, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Arete Event Center 11968 South Redwood Road, Riverton, UT 84065.  Flowers may be sent to Amber McElreath: 3657 W 12280 S Riverton, UT 84065.

Per her wishes, her ashes will be scattered in the mountains.
