Martha Blackburn Minnick-McClure, age 75, died on September 20, 2026, in Ivins, Utah, at the Southern Utah Veterans Home.

She was born on October 24, 1950, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to LoraLee Huff and Charles Metzlaar. She married Michael McClure on March 13, 2007.

She graduated from South High School, then served her country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. She married her first husband in 1970 while serving in Germany. They later moved to Kanab, Utah, and had their daughter Ruth. Shortly after, they divorced, and Martha moved to Salt Lake City to be closer to family.

MaryAnn came as a blessing to her life in 1983. In 1986, they moved to Cedar City, where Martha got a job at the college and raised her girls. She later graduated from SUU with a Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies.

She met Mike, and they married in 2007. They took trips together and spent lots of time being grandparents to their 7 grandkids.

She spent the last 7 years of her life at the SUVH in Ivins, undergoing dialysis 3 days a week. She made lots of friends while living there.

She is survived by her daughters, Ruth (Doug) and MaryAnn (Hyrum); 7 grandkids, Zach, Cameron, Thomas, Meghan, Emma, Alex, and Amy; 3 adopted grandkids, Maiya, Sofie, and Charlotte; and 2 great-grandkids, Greyson and Navee. She is preceded in death by her husband, Mike; her mom, LoraLee; her adoptive dad, Tone; and her brother, Roy.

A Graveside Service will be held on September 25, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Cedar City Cemetery.
